Please read carefully before replying, I don't want you to quote me wrong or over discuss stuff I am already explaining here in a clear and careful way. I took my time to write this, please take yours to read it my friends :)
*This is my personal opinion and analysis regarding this whole situation/fiasco and is intended only for people that can see the issue through an analytic perspective, the way Silent Hill, the greatest horror saga ever, has taught me.
*I use the metaphor of the never-ending hallway from P.T. as the vicious cycle our beloved saga is trapped nowadays under as well as previous Silent Hill games and movies material as metaphors to explain this even further and try to come up with a final solution regarding this situation.
*I've been thinking of making this post as soon as "Kojima leaving Konami" news started flowing the internet a few weeks ago, but after today's "Del Toro confirming P.T./Silent Hill fate" I've finally decided to do so.
Current Situation, venturing into Town
Let me start by saying that, like you, I don't agree with the way Konami handled this whole situation. As a corporation, they should have taken a more diplomatic approach for this whole situation not to backfire at them. Getting rid of Kojima this way, due to internal issues only they know about (which can only be hypothetically explained as of now) but which most people (i.e., you and me) are unaware of, only hurt Konami's video game division, and the Silent Hill series/saga even more.
Corporate arrogance got over Konami's executives in this situation. Even with their new "official" responses they only confirm this and many other facts yet to be "formally" announced to the general public, but for people who know how to read between lines these and many other issues are clear as water. The fate of P.T./SH has been decided long ago, and it was due to internal issues probably never meant to be public. No one can foresee the future nor events that had already transpired behind curtains, but logic helps us get as close to them as we can: Use yours my dear fellow Silent Hill fan, what is your common sense telling you?

The danger of Kojima's dismissal for the future of Silent Hill
Let me say that I respect Hideo Kojima not only for his work, but also for his passion. I also enjoy Del Toro's work a lot, that guy really knows his horror stuff. I would like to meet them both some day for sure.
Regarding the fate of Silent Hill though, I strongly think that if Konami does not allow Kojima to finish Silent Hills there is always going to be this "P.T. would have been better" cliché amongst fans no matter how good this or any other future Silent Hill game can actually be, and that's when Silent Hill will be truly dead because not only any new Silent Hill game will be categorized as a "not a Team Silent one" but also as a "not a P.T. one". Sadly, this is the way the big mass driven by their emotions will perceive it.
These two stigmas of old and new schools combined will be the key and lock to close the door on our beloved saga forever.
Again, it would seem as if Konami doesn't care anymore.
Momma? Is that you?
Giving all of us a light of hope in the dark ages of our beloved saga with P.T./Silent Hills and then turn it into even deeper shadows than before due to internal structural (or even personal) issues is not the way to handle people's dreams, wishes and passions. Konami's executives should change some of their points of view but mostly their actions regarding this fiasco.
My heart and mind are aching as much as any Silent Hill fan for what they are doing to the series. I am not stating absolutely nothing can be done about this whole situation, I am stating only a true miracle will save Silent Hill for us now, and that miracle has to come from us fans and our actions. It is up to us to get the Good Ending+
Halo of the Sun, the nightmare of the real world
By now probably the big decisions have already been taken inside Konami, but I think right now, as of today, there is still time to make things right for the future. PT is done. Period. We must focus in the days next to come.
It is under our responsibility as fans, Silent Hill fans, to understand that P.T. was not going to be the holy grail or the ultimate savior as much as a great Silent Hill game with an amazing playable teaser that is more than obviously cancelled right now. Forbidden stuff attracts us the most ever since we come to this world, but if we fail to fully put this strong sensation aside from what is a necessity for us all in these dark times then Silent Hill will be TRULY dead for the reasons I previously exposed. The fear of blood tends to create fear for the flesh.
Foggy Finale, talking to the devil
Yet again, I am only a thinker, the very basis of my thoughts may be mistaken. I do not have more or less rights than you to express my humble opinions. I do not know everything there is to know. All I truly do know though, is that whatever it is the way things turn out for Silent Hill, I will always keep the good times and memories on my mind and heart; not for what they are right now, but for what they meant to me at some point in my life and thus helped to carve the ideas living in my mind today. I will forever be thankful and in debt to Silent Hill and the people involved with it for opening my mind's approach regarding life and existence itself, as well as for providing all those endless hours of top-notch amazing horror entertainment. A river is not defined by where it ends.
I do not truly hope to find many people that agree with me. Why? Because human history has shown me that whenever someone calls out logical solutions/reasoning they get punished or ignored big time. Nevertheless, I wrote this mainly as a small retribution for the Silent Hill saga and because I want to see it alive, reborn if possible, as it was in its glorious days. It can be achieved if it reaches the minds and hearts of people that have the will and power to make it happen. This is enough of a reason to take fan criticism/hate for expressing my ideas.
Aglaophotis: Key out of the Nowhere labyrinth
We should look at ourselves in the mirror and realize we have the responsibility to accept the reality of our beloved saga as it is today, for as any further tantrum over spoiled milk will only contribute to the its final demise, and journey through the Town That Takes All.
There are lots of monsters thinking themselves as saviors lurking in Silent Hill right now, only the real truth seekers will come out of town alive, and may even save some of the wandering souls they left behind their journey.
The time is now. We have to stop posting whining messages on deaf ears that only contribute to sink the series even more. The decision is in our hands. Again, it is up to us to get the Good Ending+. Ask not what Silent Hill can do for you, but what you can do for Silent Hill.
Thank you very much for reading this far even if you don't necessarily agree with me. My best wishes and regards for you and your endeavors. Peace and love to you all, and long live the nightmarish saga.
