Creator's comments: This is not the game, nor is it some nonexistent second sequel to the movie. This is, in fact, a professional quality capture of the game, formatted to DVD video. The entire plot line is present, as well as many extras that you can't see unless you play it through several times. So burn this to a DVD and watch it on your big screen! Please see the "readme" in the ISO for more information. This is the first of what I hope to be many similar projects. If you are a fan of the series, give it a try! P.S. Contact me at silenthilltheater@gmail.com to let me know what you think of my project. I hope you enjoy this DVD. I estimate about a total of 70 hours were spent capturing and editing. It was a fun project, and the first one like it that I have done. I know the framerate jitters a little bit in various spots, but it doesn't seem so bad that it interferes with the overall experience. Also, it seems that on my hardware, the video and audio get slightly out of sync if a particular recording lasts very long. I tried to compensate for that by capturing it in smaller chunks, but that is not possible for some of the longer cutscenes. Let me know what you think, and whether this was a waste of your time or not. I really want to do another project like this, and am wide open for suggestions. Your criticism, be it positive or negative, is welcome. Also, please let me know if there is anything I may have missed. If there is something glaringly overlooked, I will consider a re-release. However, please don't email me to tell me I suck at this game. I am well aware of how badly I play, but I do have a great personality. Thanks for watching, Jer Download:

Creator's comments: "So after playing Silent Hill 2 and 3 for the first time recently, I was so amazed by the masterfully crafted story and characters of these games. This, a great webcomic on DA "Silent Hill: Promise" (http://greer-the-raven.deviantart.com/) and watching Fungo's fantastic "The Real Silent Hill Experience" inspired me to start coming up with ideas for my own Silent Hill story. At first I wanted to do it as a fanfiction but then realized that since I've had experience making music videos in Garrys Mod (a sandbox mod for Half Life 2) I wanted to make some proper, narrative machinima. So you see I didn't just decide to do it on a whim. Plus over the last few months I've proven to myself I can commit to a project as I've been making a non-Silent Hill related series since October last year. More info here". Watch the trailer here: |
