Silent Hill is sometimes regarded as just another ordinary horror video game; but behind what appears a mere entertainment product lies something far deeper.
Silent Hill is essentially stories of ordinary people who face their anguish, fears and traumas. People trying to find the origin of those horrors and a way to fight against them by venturing into the Town of Atonement. Many end up forever lost and forgotten in its deep fog but sometimes, just sometimes, a few are able to find a way out and finally get the inner peace they've been craving for so long...
Each incarnation of the Town That Takes All is a metaphorical representation of a journey inside ourselves, therefore something that can be delightful and disturbing at the same time.
